7. Purandar Fort

Purandar Fort is known as the birthplace of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort of Purandhar stands at 4,472 ft above the sea level in the Western Ghats, 50 km to the southeast of Pune. Is also known for treaty of purandar. Raja Jai Singh was signed on behalf of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.
